Limitations:
► The GDC 74A may require a warm-up period of 15 minutes to reach full accuracy (30 minutes if the environmental temperature is less than 0°C)
► Vertical Speed Range (GDC 74A): -20,000 to +20,000 ft/minute
► Airspeed Range (GDC 74A): < 450 Knots (833 km/h)
► Mach Range (GDC 74A): < 1.00 Mach
► Total Air Temperature Range (GDC 74A): -85°C to +85°C
► The GTP 59 OAT probe has no icing protection. If ice accumulates on the GTP 59 OAT probe, its accuracy is unknown. Consequently, air temperature measurements may be incorrect if ice accumulates on the probe.
► Rotation rate (GRS 77 AHRS): ±128° per second (the GRS 77/GMU 44 rotation rate capability is ±200 deg/sec but ARINC 429 angular rate output messages are limited to ±128 deg/sec)

Maintenance
The G500 is designed to not require any regular maintenance. Maintenance of all G500 LRUs is “on condition” only.
Per 14 CFR Part 43 Appendix E, paragraph (b)(2), the GDC 74( ) must be checked using a test procedure equivalent to 14 CFR Part 43 Appendix E, paragraph (b)(1) with two exceptions:
• The tests of sub-paragraphs (iv) (Friction) and (vi) (Barometric Scale Error) are not applicable because the digital outputs of the GDC 74( ) are not susceptible to these types of errors.
• Other than for regulatory testing pertaining to Part 43 Appendices E and F, (Pitot/Static leak test as described in Part 91.411) maintenance of the GDC 74( ) is “on condition” only.
